• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Walta

Think it’s worth considering that midfield is easily the most competitive area in our squad and Walta will be competing for only one spot with Franco looking undroppable. I think he’s just having a slow start as Matos has picked him before, there is obvious talent there. Hopefully that...

I’d be happy to see a back 3 tomorrow, Cabango and Burgess with Samuels Smith. That way we could actually play Tymon as a wing back and maybe Ronald on the opposite side before Key comes back. Could also allow us to have Vipotnik and Idah on the pitch at the same time. Going to be a very tough...

    Kim Hellboy

To think Hellberg would be managing us right now if we had decided not to appoint Sheehan last summer or if Rob Edwards hadn’t gone to Wolves. He’s probably thanking his lucky stars! I will give it to our decision makers though, Hellberg looks to have been their first choice and he seems a good...

With how open we were yesterday, I’m not expecting anything from this one. I’ve only seen Boro a few times since Hellberg went there but they’ve looked pretty good, I don’t think we’ll be able to cope with their attackers. They need to win against us to keep pace with Millwall too so they’ll be...

    Burgess

He’s a good defender at this level but needs to be playing next to a ball player. For me, we need to be looking at a central defender this summer, distribution from that area needs to be better.

    Adam Idah

Excellent today, surely we could use him out on the wing for the rest of the season? Think he’s got all the attributes to play there.

Thought we were quite poor in the first half but responded well to going 2 goals down in the second. Really good to see some end product from Idah and Eom. Would like to see Walta given some minutes in the next few. Perhaps he was rested with an eye on the Boro game. Overall we aren’t terrible...

Living dangerously so far. We can get at this SU defence but we look fragile at the back, they do have some good attackers though. Passing has been sloppy, especially out from the back. Missing Galbraith hugely. You do feel that we’d have a much easier time here though, if we stopped making...

Got no idea what will happen to us today. Feels like it could either be a 3-0 loss or we’ll sneak a win. As with many of the games under Matos, it’s very unlikely that it’ll be a draw. Haven’t seen much of Sheffield United recently but they’ll always be tough under Wilder.

Walta (Man of The Match) - Crossbar Shot

Got another assist and scored in the penalty shootout against Cape Verde in a friendly. Definitely a player in there. Should be getting as much game time as possible from now until the end of the season.

❌World Cup 2026❌ Cymru 1 Bosnia 1 (Bosnia win 4-2 on pens) | 26/03/2026 | The Official Match Thread | The Cardiff City Stadium

I’ve always thought that he was the type of player that just looked uninterested, kind of like Jordan Ayew was for us but I don’t know if that reflects how he plays/feels. I’d argue the fact that he wanted to take a penalty shows that he cares. He wasn’t at his best tonight though, I think we...

❌World Cup 2026❌ Cymru 1 Bosnia 1 (Bosnia win 4-2 on pens) | 26/03/2026 | The Official Match Thread | The Cardiff City Stadium

Brennan Johnson has looked good at club level whatever league he’s played in. I watched him quite a bit for Forest and Spurs in the PL and he is definitely good enough, perhaps we aren’t playing to his strengths? That’s the only thing I can come up with.

❌World Cup 2026❌ Cymru 1 Bosnia 1 (Bosnia win 4-2 on pens) | 26/03/2026 | The Official Match Thread | The Cardiff City Stadium

Not enough quality at the top end of the pitch. We had 19 shots and only 3 on target. Gutting but that’s what happens when you get in good positions and don’t make the most of it.

    Spurs losing 0-2 to Forest

Always annoys me that they are the only “big 6” side that we didn’t beat while in the Premier League. That stadium in the Championship is a joke, absolutely no way a club like that should be getting relegated, looks like spectacular mismanagement from those at the top.

Grimes should never be judged on his ability to score though surely? He was the type of player to retain the ball under pressure and keep the play ticking and he did that very well. He can’t be blamed for the style of football we were playing under particular managers. I used to be one of...

    Today's Ref

The Cabango situation for the pen is a strange one. There’s no foul but a little bit of contact and I think that’s why he didn’t argue. He knew that was enough justification even though no foul was actually committed. Also desperately unlucky for Vigs as he guessed the right way and was a good...

What is going to happen between now&end of the season?

Think we stand a chance of getting something against Sheffield United away, they aren’t on the best form and if we show up on the day, we’ll cause them problems. Watched the highlights from yesterday, actually was encouraged by some of our attacking play and there was an element of unluckiness...

Think there is always going to be focus on the negatives after a loss like that, especially with the Grimes narrative in the background. Important to remember the positives as well though. Matos has us playing well in patches and any improvement to our set piece record is solely down to him...

    Grimesy’s Reception?

Feel like Galbraith has the potential to be better than Grimes eventually but isn’t quite there yet. Hope we can keep him this summer and have a full season of him in the midfield.

Haven’t seen any of it today so keep that in mind. A lot of the criticism I’m seeing is about missed chances and the CB partnership which I think are things we’ve known for a while now. We know we aren’t clinical when it matters and that something isn’t quite right defensively so we just have...
