    Our support…

You’d have enjoyed Saturday. A quiet back end to the first half, but other than that it was as good a day out as we’ve had down there for a while.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Norwich City | The EFL Championship

Harris I can understand, as he covered every blade of grass in the time he was on. We did lose a bit of momentum with the subs again though.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Norwich City | The EFL Championship

Good wasn’t it. Atmosphere went a bit flat last 20 mins of the first half, but that was a decent team display. I never felt Norwich threatened (hard to when they were rolling around on the floor all game - the ref was excellent too, not falling for it). And we can’t fault the effort - they left...

Luke not filling me with confidence

Let’s be honest. If he said he we had the quality and depth to compete for promotion, he’d be carted off to Cefn Coed. He’s actually right, but didn’t go far enough in saying the aim is to stay up.

    Things you never knew existed

I can assure you that her’s exists 😂 Talking of pussies, I’m a bit disappointed that Medieval MMA doesn’t involve lions.

    'Speeding in a 20mph zone'

We probably need a couple of years of data before drawing any firm conclusions, but encouraging nonetheless. To be lower than during the Covid lockdown years seems impressive on the face of it. Some poor sod passed away in Pennard this week when his car went off the road. Keep safe people.

    'Speeding in a 20mph zone'

Yep, absolutely. It was introduced to try and save lives and life changing injuries (with the added benefit of easing pressure on the NHS, although that’s far less important than stopping someone being killed of course). It’s early days, but as an update to this thread the signs are encouraging...

We did pick him up from the 4th tier of French football, so probably best not to expect too much. How we keep picking duds is anyone’s guess. If this is the result of our ‘stats-driven’ approach, just give me a manager or scout who can spot a player instead.

He’s not the best, sadly. Like Walsh last year and a bit like Cullen. I know he’s one of ours, but we’re too sentimental and should be moving players on if they can’t step up in 2-3 years.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | WBA v Swansea City | The EFL Championship

Do we really though? I think we tend to see them with black and white blinkers on. I’m struggling to think of anyone here that a top Championship side would be interested in.

He’s noticeably deeper than when you see other sides play the same. All do it to a degree, but it’s all the time with us. And then a massive big hole ahead of him. So square it goes. We’re so predictable. Other clubs must love playing us. This is on Williams and his team.

    Summer 2024 Transfer Rumours

Numbers wise that’s not too bad. Quality is another matter.

    Grimes

Yet he was ever present in two play off finishes and part of some good attacking stuff under Potter. He’s the least of our worries imo. And I can’t think of who we’d drop him for. Possibly Franco? Joey hasn’t got the legs, Fulton wouldn’t be as good in that role, Abdulai too raw. Grimes and...

    Grimes

I think he’s unfairly criticised. He’s a technically proficient footballer who covers a lot of ground and keeps us ticking over. He looks to get the ball forward more than he gets credit for. People seem to want him to do everything, but It’s the others around him who are the bigger problem imo.

    Florian & Abbey

Wasn’t impressed with Bianchini, but let’s see. Pabs was awful first few games and he turned out ok. They all need a bit of time to settle.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Wycombe Wanderers | The Carabao Cup

Fulton used to be a tough-tackling terrier who’d arrive in the box late and be a threat. These days he gets a nose bleed over half way and always opts for safety first. His ambition has been coached out of him imo.

Yeah, I’m yet to be convinced. It’s also looking like we’ve recruited badly again, although it’s still early for the new guys so I’m trying to keep an open mind.

Crap match between two craps sides, ending in farce. One to forget.
