    Childhood bands-being cool v reality

As Darran posted a picture of the naughty Mr Gadd and T Rex being played in the interval at Echo & the Bunnymen last night it made me reflect. It would be cool to say that as a 5-6 year old in Cimla we all loved Bolan and Bowie but the reality was we really liked Glitter, Slade and the Sweet...

Barton is on thin ice given what 'non**' means. I'm sure being called a child sex offender in any context is defamation

He was on Radio 5 on Monday Night Football Social for about an hour. I caught most of it and was very interesting.

Remarkably David Naughton who is in the shower scene with Jenny is the brother of James Naughton who played Burke in the Planet of the Apes TV series.

    The Swansea way...

Butler played a lot more games for us than Sinclair who buggered off at the first sniff of interest. Anderson was really the one used by Martinez as a pivot in the L2 winning team-until he got injured and lost in a forest. That team I see as the one that really developed the modern Swansea style.

    Leeds support in South Wales

Sounds about right. Had a Leeds shirt around '73 in Neath (was given a Chelsea one by a relative too) and moved on to Liverpool by '76. First Swans shirt was the adidas one in 1979/80. Never been to Elland Road but have been to both Anfield and Stamford Bridge (along with The Den and Manor...

Wide players is what transformed us into a good side-Paul Anderson, Nathan Dyer, Pablo H, Tom Butler etc. Not had that since headless chicken Dan James was sold to Man Utd.

    Joe Allen

We can but hope, but sadly Joe seems pretty ineffective these days. Great career but injury and time catching up with him. Perhaps he will have a 'last rage against the dying of the light' and have a few stormers. But then again..

Back to the football - the Swans prepare to welcome Plymouth Argyle

Reports that she has sadly died. Given the many difficulties through her life and recent death of her son this is very tragic. Same age as me. 'Mandinka' will always remind me of the University Disco RIP

Just read on Twitter from Pete, the maker of the 'Tosh" documentary that Neil passed away from a massive heart attack last night. This is just so sad. Met him at the Liverpool screening and was a great guy. RIP Robbo. legendary JB
