Is This The Best Midfield We Have Had in Years?

This is my feeling also. We have a lot of fans who go into hype overdrive when we sign a player, decide he's shit after he's played 5 games for us, then rinse and repeat with the next guy...

A run of games is what I'm asking for (unless we do complete the signing of another striker of course). I admit that I'm leaning towards the view that he's probably not good enough, but it feels to me like strikers suffer the most when they're in and out of the team.

Four into Three Won’t Go – Alan Sheehan’s Midfield Puzzle

Franco was voted player of last season by the fans and the players themselves, ahead of Cabango and Vigoroux even. Still what do they know about their own teammates?

    Sir Sadiq Khan

The next sentence would be: Right wing conspiracy theorist who has an axe to grind with the mayor of London makes up story to fit his narrative. He worked for Alex Jones at Infowars, so he certainly had plenty of examples.

Sheehan's time in charge last season showed that he has a tendency to go conservative with his teams for away games, but pick more attacking/expansive teams at home. I hope he continues with that on Saturday and doesn't go conservative because Sheffield United are among the favourites to get...

Migrant Smuggler - Jailed For 25 Years ...

Without looking it up, I'd guess the massively increasing population of this country is more down to the ever increasing average lifespan and those already here breeding like rabbits. Immigrants probably make up a tiny proportion of this but are scapegoated as usual, as they are when it comes to...

I've been saying that, but saw something the other day saying the players have now been paid and so the contract cancellation option is no longer available to the players? No idea if that's correct, although he has been playing for them this season.

I think 3 of those are locks to be starting on Saturday. I'd be surprised to see Fulton in the starting 11 for a home game based on Sheehan's history, but it's not impossible.

    Team v Sheff Utd

His redeeming quality tonight was the brilliant pass to set Ronald away in the second half. If you watch the Sky Sports highlights, it's at the 50 second mark. As for the 4-1, he was standing where you'd expect a striker to be, although I agree it would have been good for him to be more alert...

So a player who hits the post or who puts a shot a few inches wide is also 'nowhere close to scoring' by your standards then?

Nowhere close to scoring except when he was literally inches from scoring.

Eom's final product is not great and he's not the most physical, agreed. However, the difference in the amount of chances we created once Eom replaced Inoussa and the increase in quality was stark to me. I think Eom's going to take a big leap forward this season.

Disagree on Inoussa and Ronald. Ronald scored the first, put a lovely ball in which Vipotnik couldn't quite reach for a tap in, then was in a position to score a second via a tap in himself, but somehow missed it. Plus Sheehan obviously rates Ronald, so I expect him to start Saturday. I think...

    Galbraith

Galbraith was excellent and should be in the same position on Saturday. I thought Inoussa showed some flashes but looked extremely raw. The difference in quality once Eom and Franco were on the pitch was stark. I thought Parker played very well and although you have to take the standard of...

    Vipotnik

I was pleasantly surprised and he took the chance that fell at his feet very well, while showing some real skill at winning headers and flicking the ball on. Got to add the caveat that he was playing against a tired League 2 defence of course. Hopefully people don't start thinking he's going to...

    Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

People still moaning about Saturday I see. I can only conclude that Sheehan is out shagging people's wives given how early his card has been marked by some. Still, at least we've halted that shocking run of no wins in three games...
