Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Sheffield United vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

Good 15 minutes, we still don’t look particularly threatening going forward but to be expected with Cullen out. That’s a bad bad miss from Harris though.

    Bulut given the bullet?

As hilarious as it is to see them losing every week I’m still annoyed we’re the only team they’ve taken a point off so far.

M5 closed so been stuck in traffic around Worcester for the last two hours. Might just about make it in time for the second half at this rate!

Being a lower mid-table team for the last few seasons doesn't help here either. We've mostly been good enough to stay out of the relegation battle and nowhere near good enough to threaten the playoffs, so even if we do win it doesn't really matter that much since we're only bouncing around the...

Amazing win for them, could play someone like Chelsea, Betis or Fiorentina in the group stage.

    Roger Freestone & Mike Hughes

You're doing Rog a disservice - you missed out his three sub appearances ;) Also for anyone that's interested in this sort of stuff, this is league apperances only. If you include the cups Rog has 682.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Preston North End | The EFL Championship

We saw a big improvement in our play last season when Joe Allen was on the pitch - and Grimes was much more effective with a decent midfielder alongside him instead of Fulton. So it's really disappointing that Fulton is still starting games now. Is Franco not actually a proper CM and will be...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Middlesbrough FC vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

It’s soft but it’s absolutely a foul. Completely needless challenge as well since there were still two defenders in front of him. Been second best so far but I’m not sure why anyone would be surprised by that. Boro had a great run at the end of last season and will be aiming for the top six.

So glad we don’t have this var nonsense in the Championship. Offsides decided by millimetres, penalties because the ball brushed his hand. Fuck off.

Cardiff second home game! Wasn’t expecting that. Must be a while since we’ve played them in August.

They should have tried reeling in some new viewers.

How many grounds have you been to...

80 of the current 92 (thanks Forest Green and Sutton for getting relegated and replaced by two grounds I haven't been to!). Most of the ones I'm missing are the teams up north that got promoted to L2 after we were last there, Morecambe, Harrogate, Salford etc. Probably a couple of hundred in...

Less Saturday 3.00 K.O. next season

They're showing 5 Championship games every weekend, so nearly half. 2 of them will be 12:30 and the other three Friday night, Saturday evening/night or Sunday. Going to be a lot less 3pm Saturday kickoffs going on from now on unfortunately.

To be fair I think we got even with that with Naughton's blatant dive up there when we won during Covid.

We did, and against Sheffield Wednesday at home. They were both before the Plymouth game though.

We started really well and desereved to be ahead, but fuck me why is it every time we go ahead we revert to this? Same thing happened against Blackburn, Sunderland and Watford too.
