    The Fish

Watching Mclaughlins performance today, Fisher wasn’t this bad.

    The Fish

Don’t get this hate for fisher myself. He wasn’t helped by calamitous defending at times from all of the back four in front of him. I wish him well

    Old Stadium thread

What these old stadiums show is character. They were easily identifiable. Wolves had the big massive south bank for example. Exeter had trees behind an open away end. Even our vetch had the prison behind the south stand

    Favourite kick off time

There was something special about Friday nights down the Vetch. 7.30pm kick offs too. We’d always get decent crowds even in the lower leagues.

    The Fish

That’s him. I’ve just looked at his Wikipedia. I didn’t realise he had an extensive professional career playing in the football league for Newport, Hereford and Cardiff. Going by that performance in the semi, it’s no wonder he was lower league!

    The Fish

In terms of Sean’s keepers we had Peter Guthrie after Mike Hughes was forced to retire. He was gash. Then there was a keeper who played for Watford in their 87 semi v spurs I think. He was like a Sunday league keeper if I remember correctly.

    Cardiff tickets..

Problem is. We’ve got Richard Heads on both sides. Lifting the restriction would be a big risk IMHO as innocents from both sides not looking for bother could be on the end of a hiding

    Luton

The way pompey finished us off, they won’t go. Though admittedly we were shiiiiiiiiite on the day. Cardiff, Stoke and Plymouth

Anyone know when they’re going on sale?

    Harry Darling and Luke Williams

H had a good game yesterday. Put his body on the line, and made some last ditch tackles, one especially after Key lost the ball in the middle of the park. He also chips in with a few and is a nuisance in the oppositions box. He’s come on massively in the last year and a half. It wouldn’t be...

    Vipotnik , Bianchini & Eom

The game has moved on leaps and bounds since we had Scotland in that Martinez side. He had midfielders around him who could play the ball to feet and then run off him. I’d hate to be a striker in this current Swans side. The football is so pedestal, all the striker seems to do is shuffle left to...

    Vipotnik , Bianchini & Eom

He’s too lightweight for my liking. One thing they need to work on with him in the summer is upper body strength. And how to protect the ball from the defender.

    Josh Key

Happened again twice today, held onto the ball too long, got dispossessed on the halfway line. A more clinical side than Albion would’ve taken advantage of his dithering

    Matt Grimes

Don’t forget the late Alan Davies. One of the most naturally gifted players I’ve seen in a Swans shirt.

    How Easy Is It?

Thought Coatsey at time received harsh treatment from the North Bank. Brother Mark was some player too.

Surely Bristol City is a sideways step for him?He should wait til summer and take his pick, well that’s what I would do if I were him.

    Portsmouth

Can’t fault Pompeys effort. They done a job on us with the press. Frustrating thing is we persevered and allowed them to continually do it. They didn’t really work for their goals, it was more of our undoing. Not to say they didn’t deserve the win. But we should’ve made changes and maybe gone...

"We are in the middle of something here" - Williams dismisses West Brom speculation

Historically yes they are, but currently I’m not too sure. The pressure will be greater there on him to succeed I’m sure. A few defeats on the spin, they’ll be calling for his head. With our fans it’s just apathy at the final whistle of defeat, then we move on.
