I do wonder if there were some "clear the air"conversations between player and manager in the summer. During his time with us it seems that no matter what did the lad couldn't get a decent run in the side. If I were him and I'm constantly on the bench or getting hooked, I'd be a bit fed up as well.

Obviously for such a large outlay that player is going to be favourite. If someone else is banging them in on a regular basis it's unfair to drop them because of a fee.
