    SwansTV matchday coverage

When you say ‘they’, who do you mean? It says no streams available on swans tv for me.

    SwansTV matchday coverage

Why aren’t SwansTV taking at least a camera to stream the friendly today? Granted it’s in Spain, but they’ve been happy enough to take my £25 a month for the last couple of months with eff-all on…

    Snoooooooop Dogg

I’m gonna be a total bore now and ask…are companies allowed to use his likeness to promote their business? Obviously we all know it’s AI/Photoshop but isn’t it a bit scammy to say he’s been eating at their restaurant for example?

    New Kit

£47 for a baby kit. :ROFLMAO: The £60 is going rate for an adult but the kids/toddler kits are way overpriced in comparison. Edit: the baby kit looks like it includes shorts and socks to be fair, but nearly 50 quid for something that’ll be grown out of in 3 or 4 months…

    Kit release?

Homage to Modric? FFS he’s only been associated with us for two seconds.

    Live Aid on Beeb 2

To show balance, I'll reiterate that J_B said 'pure' water. Which is as close to tasteless as possible. It's also something that 99% of people will never taste.

    Live Aid on Beeb 2

Unless you're boiling and condensing every glass of water you drink, or getting it from some fancy lab, you'll never have 'pure' water.

    Live Aid on Beeb 2

Anyway, to weigh in on this watery debate in a Live Aid thread, I'll brush off my utterly boring statistics degree and get out my good ole bell curve. Does the majority of water taste the same in the UK/World? Yes. Are there outliers, at either end, that vary in minerals, filtration and so on...

Is water wet or is it an effect of being covered in liquid?

I don't know if it's the heat but people have been really pissy on here the last couple of days. :ROFLMAO:

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

This is what the throttle/fuel section looks like, for those not sure.

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

Wow, I was unaware of that. I fail to see how that can happen accidentally (especially on BOTH cutoffs), but I’m not a 787 pilot.

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

To me (and this is just me speculating), it looks like pilot flying (first officer) takes off as normal, pilot not flying (captain) reaches back to cutoff the engines out of sight of the first officer…and the captain doesn’t alert to any visual EICAS warnings. When the alarms start to go off...

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

I don’t believe there is when one cutoff is selected. Just a visual warning that N1 is low on the EICAS (which pilot monitoring should be scanning). There is an audible warning when both are cutoff, as obviously you’re losing other reliant systems then.

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

When it first happened we were speculating that it looked like a double engine failure, it’s just such a rare thing that you can almost discount it (without bird activity in the area). This does indeed seem to be that, albeit an intentional ‘failure’.

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

Indeed Coops, sadly. I can’t come to any other conclusion yet, from my armchair. Also going back to the ‘loud noise’ that the surviving passenger heard, that was likely the RAT being deployed automatically.

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

They aren’t guarded, but you do need to pull them before switching them (i.e. you can’t just knock them into cutoff). They are well out of the way of a pilot flying’s view/attention, so it’s possible pilot not flying could do it without the other noticing (PNF being the captain in this case)...

Passenger plane heading for London crashes after take-off in Ahmedabad, India

So the initial report for this is out. To summarise, everything about the flight was normal until seconds after the plane got into the air, when both fuel cutoff switches were switched to ‘off’. One pilot asks the other ‘why did you turn them off?’ and they are both turned back on, by which...

    Diego Jota

Yeah, I'm with you on that one, even as a petrolhead. A little like they have with motorcycle licences for different engine sizes and rider age. It's a bit mental that a 17 year old can pass their test and jump in 1000bhp car straight away.

Awful news - I can't imagine what his new wife, kids and family are feeling. Far too young. I don't want to be 'that guy', but I'm interested what the accident report will say in terms of speeds. I've had a blowout once, doing about 72-73mph or so on the M4 (it was pitch black, on my way to the...
