    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

It's a real pity because there's a good footballer in there somewhere. Some decent coaching could sort him out. In the meantime he needs to cut out these mistakes which are costing us dearly.

    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

Good analysis. The only thing I'd say is that in the diagram, the RB runs into basically the number 10 position and gets the ball there. But as you say (I think) Key runs with the ball, more often than not starting in his own half and ending up somewhere around the centre circle.

    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

I might be wrong but I don't think LW is telling Key to go on meandering runs down blind alleys into midfield. He does tell him to play an inverted full back sometimes but that's a different kettle of fish. I think the problem is that Key's not sure what to do when he gets the ball and his...

    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

OK. Here's my last snapshot. This is Norwich's third goal. Key intercepts the ball. He dithers for a second (familiar?), Dobbin robs him, runs through and scores.

    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

Norwich's first goal is interesting. It starts with Key (sorry) in a very advanced right wing position crossing the ball straight to their keeper. Key ends up flat on his back and Ronald ends up at RB as Norwich counter. I'll leave this snapshot of Norwich's counter. Tymon is struggling to...

    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

I think there's a difference here between playing the inverted full-back role, which he's instructed to do in certain games, and carrying the ball from the right back position into a congested midfield, which I'm pretty sure he's not instructed to do. Key has played the former - I first noticed...

Directly behind Grimes. I was going to list Key's options but thought I'd leave it as an exercise for the reader.

    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

I don't believe for one minute that LW wants Key to carry the ball into the centre circle from that position. It was a simple pass to Grimes - even Cullen could see it. I bet LW regrets the Bale comment now. I quite liked Key at first but he's now becoming a liability.

    Josh Key's Footballing Masterclass

Just thought I'd post this little gem from yesterday's game. We've just equalised, so you'd think for the next few minutes we'd keep it tight and not do anything stupid - because the last thing you'd want is to concede immediately thereafter. Josh Key intercepts the ball. He has options -...

Players going over to clap the away support. Pathetic.

We are the better of two poor sides at the moment, which isn't saying much. A special mention for Cullen and Key who have been awful. And MPH who plays like he can't be arsed. Their goal was inevitable.

    Stream Turned Off? Swans TV

I had to watch the last 5 mins or so on a dodgy stream. My conscience is clear though because I paid for the game!

Ah, is that what happened? I thought I'd inadvertently closed my browser window. After that I couldn't find the link to go back to the stream.

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Cardiff City 3 Swansea City 0 | The EFL Championship

Is there anything more pathetic than players/manager/staff clapping their own supporters when they've just had a spanking from their biggest rivals. If I were there in the ground I think I'd turn my back and look the other way. Get in the dressing room sharpish, don't even shower, get on the...

    Favourite kick off time

Midweek, under lights at the Vetch, North Bank, before the East stand days. It was always Tuesday, never Wednesday, and always 7:30, none of this 7:45 nonsense. A crowd of 1,200, 1,300 on a good day but you couldn't really tell because it was dark. Plenty of noise though. Jumpers for...

Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 WBA 1 | The EFL Championship

I too think it's a bit harsh to blame Tymon for their goal. The reason they scored was that we gave the ball away in midfield. Again. We tried it in the first half a few times - the usual suspects, Grimes and Key. This time it was a mix up between Cullen and someone else (I think). Cullen...
