    Football Eh?

Nah, he just barked at the screen and then ran over to us looking for reassurance.

    Football Eh?

Our whippet is going to need counselling after last night. He's an anxious boy at the best of times but having the whole family suddenly roaring at the TV with no warning does his head in.

    Burgess v Darling

Anyway, Burgess is already a JB legend so that settles that debate.

    Burgess v Darling

Darling showed leadership at a time when the players looked lost and rudderless, mesmerically watching Grimes passing the ball to Fulton who passed the ball to Grimes who passed the ball to Fulton ad infinitum. I'll always respect him for the effort and passion he put in during those dark days...

    S25/26 | Official Match Thread | Swansea City 3 Nottingham Forest 2 | Att: 11,354 | The Carabao Cup 3rd Round

I passed the time on a long and boring train journey today by reading the matchday thread on what I presume is Forest's premier supporters forum. OMG the entitlement was extraordinary! Haven't they spent most of the past 25 years in the second and third tiers? OK, so they have assembled an...

True. And I actually liked Carlos Carvahlal too. But why let facts get in the way of rhetoric?

Credit due to Cullen for his assist too. Can’t be easy going from first choice striker to third but he played his part.

He always looked cross to me. I wished him well as a manager, but I wouldn’t have wanted to go for a beer with the guy. Plus I think he generally was quite honest much of the time but I’ve seen plenty of posts where people have said he threw players under the bus so that’s not good.

Not liking Sheehan is like hating Alan Curtis or hoping Bambi’s mother takes a bullet (apologies if that was a spoiler…). He’s literally the most likeable manager we’ve ever had. Williams - not likeable Duff - not likeable Martin - not likeable Cooper - not likeable I could go on but you get...

Well if we get to the play-offs the club might decide we are better off holding on to him.

Wonderful to hear Burgess and Vipotnik talk about how the supporters in the ground never stopped singing and gave them the energy to push on. Tonight was one of those ‘I was there’ bragging rights nights. Hats off to those who braved the rain and paid a stupid amount to watch their team almost...

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

By Cullen, Vipotnik or Sheehan? 🤔 I hope all three will smash it out of the park this season. Cullen is currently the furthest from demonstrating he can do it. Vipotnik’s four- goal streak is promising, but it would be rash to conclude that he’s the new Haaland on the strength of four games...

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

First of all, Sheehan obviously sees something in Cullen otherwise he’d have been out the door along with the others. (Same with Fulton.) So I don’t expect him to start in the lone striker role while Vipotnik is on a roll, but I would not be surprised to see him on the bench and getting game...

    Angel Rangel

Don’t know if this has been posted already, but interesting (and pleasing) to see Angel Rangel back in the fold after he was ostracised by the previous owners for his critical comments. Always hoped he might have another role with the Swans some day. I presume he hasn’t been coaching...

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

I believe it is Zhan Vee-pot-nick, with the surname given equal (and quite short) weight to all three syllables (unlike, say, the way Italians often put emphasis on the penultimate syllable in a word)

    POLL: where will we finish?

I was agreeing with your post. Sheehan is indeed doing fine. Unlike our former manager who would excuse a lame performance on the basis that we played with ‘intensity’. Not even sure what that word means in football, to be honest. Hence why I liked your original post. I should have flagged that...
