Thought we did well enough today. Bit frustrating going forward at times but a better overall showing. Annoying that they chose today to score 2 worldies when they’ve been pretty poor away lately. Then again you could argue that we shouldn’t be showing players of their quality onto their strong...

I don’t think the last 4 years have a lot of relevance when talking about this season. If your point is that the football could be turgid at times then I agree, doesn’t change the fact that we’re taking our chances at the moment and not creating much, even in home games. I’m on record as saying...

I agree with the first part 100% but I would also say support can include being critical too, that’s part of the fun of being invested in a team. I personally wouldn’t define support as being blindly optimistic. I’d be attending games and watching us in league 2 if we were down there. I pay for...

It’s because we haven’t yet done anything overly impressive and we aren’t performing consistently quite yet. I do think that’ll happen sooner or later though, if we beat Leicester today with a good performance everyone deserves major praise. The fact is though, people are looking at more than...

Leicester drawn their last 4 against different sorts of teams. Hard to see it being a walk over like they’ve done to us in the past but they’ll still be dangerous and we’ll have to watch out for their wingers against Key and Tymon. If we’re at our best I think we can get something from this one.

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Blackburn Rovers 1 Swansea City 2 | Attendance: 11,013 (372 away) | Tues 30th Sept | The EFL Championship

Personally I think consistent performances are a cornerstone of any good side, teams that get promoted generally create more chances than we are at the moment. It’s all about sustainability for me. The results are decent enough now and we can all be happy with our place in the table but what...

I agree with concerns re performances. I’m not commenting on tonight as I haven’t watched it but to me, the kinds of performances we’ve been putting in haven’t been sustainable ones, we won’t keep putting away 2 with 4 on target for example, and our habit of conceding late (not tonight though)...

Inoussa got 2 assists in 2 from the Sheff Wed and Hull games. I think I saw somewhere that he is top for 2nd assists too, a bit of a pointless stat to be honest but it shows he’s always involved in goals even if not directly. He stood out for me in the Birmingham game and last Saturday too, his...

Excellent result. Just seen the goals back as didn’t get a chance to watch it tonight. So good from Franco. Be nice to get something against Leicester.

It’s what I’ve noticed about us this season, the 8s are so high and wide that they leave nothing for us to attack with centrally. We could really do with a 10 formation imo.

    Alan Sheehan.

We should remember that people will have a lot of different reasons for viewing things critically. For some it’ll be stylistic but it isn’t the case that every Sheehan sceptic is a Russell Martin/Swansea Way devotee (there’s nothing wrong with that either)

Don’t really know what to expect from this one. I can see it being a bit like the Birmingham away game, competitive but ultimately a 1 goal scoreline.

I agree mainly, Martin was too stubborn but wasn’t helped by the ownership at the time and I’m convinced Williams just self destructed after that West Brom situation. My only question mark over the Sheehan appointment is the fact that the ownership have spent what (for us) is a lot of money...

    Alan Sheehan.

I don’t think there are too many fans that are fully in the Sheehan out camp. The one or two I have seen are the ones that would have preferred someone else in the first place. I think we should be allowed to be a bit sceptical based on our early attacking performances but that doesn’t mean...

    Josh Key

I quite like Key going forward. When he’s at his best he can be very good, the trade off is obviously in defence at times and I think that goes for both our fullbacks. I don’t always feel confident when they’re defending 1v1. I would like to see Key getting a few more crosses in, I think that’s...

Key and Ronald definitely lack understanding and that is strange considering they’ve been playing on the same side together for enough time now. Although not perfect or consistent yet, Inoussa and Tymon seem to be a better potential partnership.

    Alan Sheehan.

The 50-50s in midfield I believe are down to our 8s not being suited to a pressing game. Winning the ball high up was what defined us last season with O’Brien and Franco chasing the ball constantly. I think we’re going to have to play a bit differently with Galbraith and Yalcouye. They seem...

    Vipotnik

He is outstanding at reacting quickly when the ball comes into him at speed. Underrated with his feet too, been excellent this season so far.

    Alan Sheehan.

I agree with this in the main. Although it is frustrating, it is still very early and all the new players need the time to bed in. What concerns me is more tactical, the way we’ve set up our midfield in almost every game this season is at odds with the players on the pitch in my opinion. We are...

    Stemenic or Franco ?

Stamenic has to play, it’s a non-negotiable for me. The only 6 we have besides Fulton. If there’s a choice it’s between Yalcouye and Franco for one of the 8 spots.
