S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 Leicester City 3 | Att: 16,601 | Saturday 4th Oct | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

Thought we did well enough today. Bit frustrating going forward at times but a better overall showing. Annoying that they chose today to score 2 worldies when they’ve been pretty poor away lately. Then again you could argue that we shouldn’t be showing players of their quality onto their strong sides. More positives to take than negatives I thought.

Doesn’t get any easier with Southampton coming up and top of the form table QPR after them. A win from one of those two would be good.

Definitely been more disappointed leaving the ground after a couple of the draws this season.
Unbeaten home record was always going to end at some point, but we need to bounce back with a couple of wins at home soon though.

Despite their indifferent start I’d be very surprised if Leicester aren’t right up there at the end of the season - not that there was a huge amount between the sides today.

Hate going into the international breaks with a defeat - roll on Southampton away!!
That's fair assessment. Don't think there is massive difference in sides, just that they know like with the Premier league, you got to take your chances. Putting aside the 2 goals and long shot, there wasn't massive gap between us and them. Agreed on international break 🤣. Southampton will be a difficult one, but it's all about learning. No need for people to over react as I said 🙏

Just think what LaJolla could achieve in life if he put this much effort into work or life as a whole 😅😅. Never doubt his determination and dedication to trying to wind us up 😂😂😂
He has…exactly the same as he’s achieved on here. F**k all.

Huge reality check that.
Leicester just had that extra quality and despite us huffing and puffing, Leicester had that game under control.

Nice to see Idah get off the market, showed a little bit more today.
I don't know what it is but midfield to attack needs sorting.
Key needs a rest/dropping.

Today will be a good experience for everyone the team, management and fans.

Agreed on all of this other than, HUGE reality check. For me personally it was always gonna be difficult, and Southampton will be as well. The rest 100% agree on ☺️

We were competitive again, didn't think they were all that good, they scored two worldies that's all. Third goal was a mess on our part though.

I thought at the point we scored we were worthy of a point. Having said that it could have been very ugly by the end if it wasn't for Vig.

Disappointed with Sheehan's starting line up though. Eom and Cullen are so flimsy, they were passengers and it was no surprise they had to come off after an hour. It's hard enough competing against teams with strong squads as it is without needless rotation like that. I'd have liked us to go stronger from the start.

I think the options are just too similar. Maybe they thought Yalcouye and Widel would be more creative than they are?

Seems like we will just have to be workmanlike in there until they can find someone else to come in. I do not mind that for now as at least we have an identity in there.

They hit the cross bar and post.

We battled and kept in it but thet could have easily got more than 3.

Second goal come from us messing about at the back instead of clearing it up field
All goals, even the first 2 could have been avoided.
Gave James far too much time and space for the 1st, 2nd go it was like we were too scared to get the tackle in, 3rd was just an absolute calamity from us.

We got our equaliser against the run of play which was highlighted when they went up another gear straight away.

I would of liked to see Yalcouye start, but understand he thought Cullen deserved an opportunity. Thought Eom played well personally. Maybe would of had Galbraith on from start too.

It’s a learning curve, we’re not far off but can’t we just accept that Leicester had the better team out there today.

I’m nowhere near despondent as I was watching the first few games of last season under Williams. We have to do better of course, and it looks like we need to be fitter and more aggressive to match the best sides, but we have it in the tank.
