Ntcham started plenty of games for us but was massively inconsistent. If players like Franco & Ntcham aren't fit enough to last 90 minutes then look at our fitness coaches & medical team, not the manager.

Williams was quick enough to get Govea involved last season, given that he played 90 minutes for the under 21's last week I'd expect him to be on the bench on Saturday. No idea on Parkers fitness

It should be but I think we both know that if we do let him go we won't replace him with a player of equal stature. Should have sorted a new contract out last year or sold him for a decent fee if he wasn't prepared to sign.

He was never going to play for Arsenal's first team from what we saw of him. Decent footballer but too slow on the ball & not athletic enough for the Premier League. He's probably better suited to the Spanish or French league.

Good post & I agree with just about all of that. The only thing I would say is that the lack of squad depth isn't helped by the new contracts given to Joe & Kyle Naughton. I know they both offer quality & if we had a bigger budget they'd be worth it but the decision to give both new contracts...

To me the problem with the owners hasn't been the amount they've spent but how they've spent it. I don't want to see them overspending. So much money wasted on different recruitment teams who've then been paid off because they've done a rubbish job. How much money was wasted last summer?

Hopefully he'll be a good addition but Liverpool giving a player a long term contract doesn't guarantee anything. Rhys Williams had signed a long term contract before he came on loan to us & he was awful.
