    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Middlesbrough 1 Swansea 0 | Att: 26,035 (Away 685) | 3pm | Saturday 9th August

Or maybe Whittaker just isn't that good (which is my belief). Yes at Plymouth he was scoring freely (well for a period at least) and was maybe the big fish in a small pond. The bottom line he had 1 decent season in 23/24 and really that was half a season. He is a very lazy player and for some...

Bloody hell, what score do you predict if our defense does get ripped apart ;)

Season 25/26 | The official Match Thread | Swansea City vs FC Lorient | Preseason Friendly | The Swansea.com Stadium | 3pm, Saturday 2nd August 2025

Surely Parker is only playing due to the lack of CB options, even if Cabango and Santos (who I have grave doubts about) are fit that still isn't enough players at that position. Silver lining has to be that it spells out how weak our defensive ranks truly are. The FB"s can't defend very well...

The Goalscoring Myth: A 20 goal striker is not a "must" for success

The bottom line is we need to have a positive goal difference and if possible scoring 60+ goals. Who scores them not so important.

Season 25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Exeter City v Swansea City | Preseason Friendly | St James’ Park Exeter | 1pm (26.07.25)

Losing does matter, but not so much in pre-season. Progression is vital and the players need to see that progression so that they can believe.

Concgeve needs the opportunity to showcase whether or not he is ready for a place in the squad. Fulton @CB today maybe?

    A dump of a city??

strange that yourself and @Neath_Jack jump to the conclusion that because I am not of fan of certain shops that I am loaded and don't give a toss about anyone else !!

    A dump of a city??

I appreciate that the shops I listed serve a purpose and employ local people (which is obvisoulsy not a bad thing) and that was my point, it's depressing that are so many stores that sell cheap tat and employ people on low wages. Clearly I don't want boarded up outlets, what I do want is a...

    A dump of a city??

Your right about town/city centres in general, whatever they look like I do hope the demnad for turksih barbers, nail shops, bubble tee, chicken shops, charity shops and cheap produce stores (pound stores, B&M, The Range etc....) comes to an end !! The whole of the UK is becoming identical and...

    Eom on the right?

Not sure Ronald could be a no8. I could see him as a fullback (or WB) though.

    Brandon Williams

He deserves another chance, however he needs to build trust with whoever gives him that chance. I hope he gets an opportunity but not with a massive salary, it's needs to be heavily incentive laden. Also any contract needs exit clauses that enable the club to ditch him (without having to pay...

    Lawrence Vigouroux ...

I agree and that's why I don't think Fabianski would be a target.

    Lawrence Vigouroux ...

If Fabianski came I doubt he would be the backup, he still better than Vigouroux ever will be

    Lawrence Vigouroux ...

Agree contract extension for Vigouroux, but don't want Fisher as backup. We need a backup that can pressure the No1 for his position, keep him on he toes and Fisher does not do this and think back to how poor our back up was last season.

    Paul Watson

I can't imagine that anyone is starstruck by Paul Watson :ROFLMAO:

    Paul Watson

even if you are great in an interview, when there is a body of evidence of how crap you are it makes no sense.

Why do clubs keep hiring the same old same old dross (same with managers) !!

    Bradford fire.

Arguably a much worse disaster than Hillsborough, just does not get (or ever got) the same press. I remember the day clearly (I was 12 years old) and living in the area have since met many survivors of that day. My brother in law (I didn't know him then) was at the game. John Hendrie who was...
