    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Blackburn Rovers 1 Swansea City 2 | Attendance: 11,013 (372 away) | Tues 30th Sept | The EFL Championship

Excellent from Idah, anyone thinking he’s a target man is mistaken. Great assist and a great finish from Cullen!

    Alan Sheehan.

We have been robbed this season of 3 points by inept officiating. 1 at Birmingham and 2 against Millwall and we haven’t had those back yet in the old ‘even out over the season’ saying. That would have seen us 5th, and don’t think anyone would be complaining or questioning then.

Yalcouye has been excellent, far more impressive than Franco. But I would go with Franco for away games where they are likely to come at us.

Someone told me this week that in Alan Sheehans 30 games as manager of us, his record is better than when we went up under Brendan in terms of points per game. If true, that’s incredible.

From Liberty to Injustice; the solution to the Championship’s referee woes?

I also think they need to force refs into a decision. If it’s not a penalty then it’s a free kick to Millwall and a yellow card for Vipi. To do nothing and just play on defies logic really.

    Yes fair point

I hate VAR as it means every decision is analysed to the max. I would give each team 1 review challenge to use, which they retain if they get the challenge correct. If they get it wrong then tough, nothing further is reviewed for that team. It puts it back in the hands of the team.

if Russell Martin is the manager people would be purring over the team. 2nd in the possession category, 2nd in the passes category and 3 points behind 4th. 3 points which we should’ve had if the ref didn’t botch the last 2 major decisions for us like a dikhead!! Both Sheehan and Idah have a...

Was another 2 hand shove in the back. Not as clear a pen as the first one but could have been given. We have to remember also that we were given the toughest opening 9 fixtures out of anyone and we are still in that set of fixtures...

    Adam Idah 40k a week.

Montague did the deals didn’t he? Wasn’t that his only job? But in his defence, there is no way those numbers are correct.

    Stemenic or Franco ?

This league is relentless, having 4 top CM’s when you play 4-3-3 is certainly not being overstocked. It just means you have quality. Widell settling quicker would be nice though to give us the attacking option, but we will need to be patient.

    Josh Key

This I agree with, Key has been poor.

    Idah

But that’s the only team you should be judging him for. He scored 20 for Celtic last season including Champions League goals and Cup Finals. He’s played 54 league minutes for us off the bench and his only start coming against a Premier League team in the cup. Fans need to get behind him not...

    Idah

You do know he’s played a grand total of 52 minutes of league football don’t you?

    Idah

He’s not started a league game yet due to Vipotniks form. I feel Idah has the fans against him from the start which is terrible really.

Three Steps to the Break – Swansea’s September Drift into October

Yes this feels like a big one to win and set the tone again.

In his post match press conference he said Bruges had some dangerous attacks… they played Genk.

Managing the Message: How Swansea City Is Curating Its Power Narrative

I don’t agree. The big rebuild was this summer, it will be quieter each summer from here with less and less turnover of players. That’s how we know we have had a good window. Can’t imagine we will want to move too many first teamers on because they look genuine mustard! We won’t be having a...

Managing the Message: How Swansea City Is Curating Its Power Narrative

It’s certainly a rebuild though isn’t it. Look at the player turnover rate, must be 20+ outs and ins. Will take time for them to become a functioning and smooth unit. Signs are good.

I hate VAR, it takes the spontaneous reactions out of football. Can never really celebrate a goal as you are always waiting for confirmation.
