    Timekeeping

The commentators know, because they’re listening to the refs being miced up. The managers only know if they pester the 4th official. It’s just too open to interpretation at the minute IMO. There’s no consistency in terms of when they stop and re start the clock. If it was transparent then...

Welsh Rugby Bosses to Scrap One Region by 2027

Games should definitely be played at the stadiums in Cardiff, no arguments there. The fact that them and Llanelli have been allowed to be ‘super clubs’ is my bigger bugbear than whether there are 2, 3 or 4 regions and where they play.

Yep, easily fixed if there’s somebody pressing stop on the stadium clock whenever the ref wants to stop the clock like they do in all other sports.

I get that and obviously there never used to be a board held up. I just think that when every other sport in the world can inform players, managers and supporters of the time remaining then there’s no excuse for football. There’ll still be arguments about when and for how long it’s stopped...

    Timekeeping

Yet another example in the Brentford v Liverpool game why football should join every other team sport at the top level and have the ‘actual time’ shown in the stadium. The ref may well have been correct that an extra 90 seconds was required, but how it can be at the whim of one man with no...

Agreed. Any restructure was/is always going to be Cardiff +…

    Apologies, I thought they’d opted out 👍

Welsh Rugby Bosses to Scrap One Region by 2027

I think that’s a bit harsh on the current version of the FAW (20 years ago I’d have agreed) Whatever people’s thoughts on Noel Mooney he’s certainly increased the professionalism within the organisation. Youth participation is at an all time high and facilities (from a very low base) are...

Welsh Rugby Bosses to Scrap One Region by 2027

Personally I think that’s what should have happened when it first went professional. Centrally contract the top 80 players, play home games Friday night/Saturday evening/Sunday afternoon and you’re not even competing with the club game still being played on a Saturday afternoon. During...

It’s clearly far better than shots off and on target which has been flashed up on TV screens and in match reports in decades. I think some people don’t like it either because it’s ‘new’ or because it’s not ‘exact’ - which it obviously won’t be. It’s a useful metric for those who like that...

Happening too often at all levels for my liking. Getting to the stage where managers may as well have a 30 second timeout each half! And no I’m not really advocating this - speeding up, not slowing down the game needs.

I get with Cabango & Burgess as centre halves we’re not going to play too high a line, but you’re spot on. It’s been far too easy to play through our midfield this season.

Done enough in two short cameos to deserve a start at Charlton next Saturday IMO. More likely to get a start against City in midweek though!

Desperately needed that win today. Thought we started with a higher tempo but we’re just struggling to control a game for any prolonged period - still not 100% if that’s down to instruction from the manager or a lack of confidence and/or ability on the pitch. Probably a combination of all 3...

Welsh Rugby Bosses to Scrap One Region by 2027

With the exception of some benefactors in France & England, international rugby/the unions fund the club game the world over. Wales aren’t unique in this, however, there’s been mismanagement at all levels (papered over by 6 Nations success) ever since the regions were formed. A constant...

Last part is almost certainly true about the largest party and First Minister, but the kingmakers will come from the other parties and with the new system every vote will count.
