I wasn’t talking about a specific player, I was talking generally. In this players case, he’s obviously saw Stoke as a better place / club to go to if that’s the case. We move on.

If they’re good enough they’ll play, if they aren’t they’ll get minutes here and there.

If they’re good enough they will be in and around the first team and not sent on loan. Lissah has had a few bad seasons with injuries so understandable why he was sent out. Others sent out are clearly deemed not ready for the step up. Nothing to do with what’s the point of an academy.
