We are looking shaky in defence and they playing through us with ease

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread

Am I being overly worried about us now fighting other clubs for Walta. Is this going the same way as Hellberg? Seems as though Fabrizio Romano post, quickly deleted, has blown what appeared to be a deal being done wide open again. We don't usually win bidding wars

I'd like Ben not to be captain next year. Brain farts, agile as a double decker, and as captain always got the look of someone in the midst of a disaster. Hardly encouraging for those around him.

Appreciate Fulton recent improvement, him and Cullen starting not screaming intent to me

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

Remarkable that we still see no goal contribution outside Vip in a game like that.

This fkng team, my god. Worst opposition you can find and they decide to go nonchalant. What an awful goal to giveaway

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

Have to remember it's not a reflection on the owners benevolence, it's the FFP limitations. We need to generate more income to raise the ceiling a la Wrexham, who are able to spend more without breaching FFP

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

Ultimately, there is not enough goals in us outside Vip. As has been said, if we sell him we are fkd. We have to have more goal options to get these games over the line. We're a couple of players away. I have seen this curve before. Players buy in, improvement in form, but despite controlling...

Maybe, awful for their goal and only been troubled twice (?). Hardly inspires confidence

    Yalcouye and widdel

Franco is no longer a guaranteed starter that's for sure. Not sold on him myself, certainly don't understand the chanting adoration, but that maybe be. The competition is great though and good that our loanees are able to compliment the squad.

Table sobered me. The 3 teams directly below us have a game in hand and 2 could leapfrog us, putting us back to 2 places above relegation 😁

Yeah not getting ahead of myself, but it's a hell of a lot better than that clueless mess pre-Matos

Matos has turned us into a press hungry, cohesive unit and we are enjoyable to watch again. Yes it could be better and we had brain farts (particularly in front of goal) but some of that passing today was excellent. We are working much harder with and without the ball.

None of the players you mention have held down their place or made the jersey their own. Inoussa, Ronald and Eom are decent back ups, nothing more. Widell or Yalcouye I can accept but, again, one needs to make that jersey theirs when they get the opportunities.
