    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 3 Crawley 1 | Att: 5,095 | The EFL Carabao Cup | 7pm, Tuesday 12th August 2025 | The Swansea.com Stadium

Little bit of prospective needed, Crawley are lower L2 level and that showed last night. However there were positives. Parker had a decent game at RB and is for me as good if not better than Key. He needs regular game time to ensure his development (and not on loan elsewhere). Galbraith looked...

Good we want them battling for and fighting to keep their place in the team.

I dont know about the Cardiff striker, maybe he's just better than Viptonik. It's so fair to have your opinion of him, mine is that there is a player in him that used correctly could do well. As for Obafemi he was awful, had a woeful shot on him and an even worse attitude.

All strikers do that, that does not make him rubbish. He scored so.e decent goals, Leeds away for example. The more clinical a striker is the high up the pyramid he will be playing, what do you expect someone to achieve with the lack of opportunities that Swansea created last season?

Very similar to Cullen in that he lacks pace and physicality to be a No 9. I would say Cullen is more clinical, however Geldhart is a better football and will link play better and can be effective in all 3 positions behind the striker. He has the ability to be a star in the Championship and is...

I would have thought Leeds want to sell as they would have no benefit loaning him out and he is still under contact. His wages have just doubled after their promotion as well.

Geldhart is a quality footballer and much better than Cullen. However like Cullen he needs the right system and supporting cast, Geldhart is not a No9 On the Geldhart move to Hull, how does that happen if they have an embargo??

I don't doubt Opta's stats credentials, but that particular stat is boiulderdash. How can you create stats for a team that has say 5 new players who have never played for that team before? For example if Swansea field Burgess, Galbraith, Widdell, Inoussa & Casey on Saturday, it is absurd to...

How on earth can our start be statistically the hardest in the entire division. Nobody has kicked a ball yet, many teams have new managers (our 1st opposition being one), all teams have lost / replaced players and will need to bed players (just like Swansea). I bet our 1st 10 opponents will...

Good signing for L1, but only average at Plymouth last season whilst on loan. Think he will be a Championship player eventually just not there yet.

Why should we stump up an extra 500k !! If our valuation of the player has been offered then why pay extra, the risk on Kone would have been high and adding more to the risk would have been folly. I am happy we are not getting into a bidding war, there will be plenty of other options out there.

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Middlesbrough 1 Swansea 0 | Att: 26,035 (Away 685) | 3pm | Saturday 9th August 2026

Or maybe Whittaker just isn't that good (which is my belief). Yes at Plymouth he was scoring freely (well for a period at least) and was maybe the big fish in a small pond. The bottom line he had 1 decent season in 23/24 and really that was half a season. He is a very lazy player and for some...

We don't need cover at RB, we need a RB as the incumbent is rubbish.

Season 25/26 | The official Match Thread | Swansea City vs FC Lorient | Preseason Friendly | The Swansea.com Stadium | 3pm, Saturday 2nd August 2025

Surely Parker is only playing due to the lack of CB options, even if Cabango and Santos (who I have grave doubts about) are fit that still isn't enough players at that position. Silver lining has to be that it spells out how weak our defensive ranks truly are. The FB"s can't defend very well...

Sadly Jerry Yates is not one of those 4 strikers. Although some may argue he's not a striker ;)

Well if Yates wants to play week in week out then being part of any deal might be advisable, there has seemingly been little to no interest from Championship clubs for Yates.
