I bought 2 hot dogs and a coke…£15😳😳

I won’t be buying anything in the stadium again.

You expect that in a cinema , not a football stadium
Probably cost about 1.50p to produce , even with other costs its a hell of a mark up

Nobody forces you to buy it, if we all boycotted the bars, they may rethink prices. Before the game 5 of us had a round away from the ground and it only cost £1.15 more than 3 pints in the ground at ½ time.

Back in the day a pint in my local was £1.53, and the cost to produce it and ship it to the pub was £0.10p.

Me and a mate went to a 'country pub' the other day. We normally do 'Spoons but I thought a change would be nice. As he normally drives to benefit from the joy of my company, I thought I'd be generous and drive and foot the bill. Normally the bill is about £18-20 with crisps and all that shit. £41. Bandits. The beer wasn't that great neither. Outraged. Mind you a single course Sunday lunch round here for two with a drink used to be £20 now it's £40.

I'm turning (justifiably, imo) into an even more grumpy old git. I'm only a poor pensioner!

Have the prices gone up from the start of the season? Must admit I don't get to the stadium much before kickoff and rarely spend any money there.

Reason I ask is that the Trust were working with the club when looking at bringing catering in-house and promises were made that pricing would be in keeping with the pricing people would expect, based on a number of surveys you may remember.

Might be the case that they've been making a loss. That wouldn't have surprised me.

I never buy any food or drink at any of the grounds I go to for all the reasons that have been mentioned, I make sure that my belly is full of ale and food before I go into the ground.

Yes, they’ve added 50p on to the price of every pint during the last week.

Ah cheers. That's disappointing, particularly the lack of public comment. I know they have a contract with one of the big providers, InBev I think, but no idea if that is the main driver here or not. May have been making a general loss beforehand.

£4.80 is below the going rate in stadiums.

Cardiff City charge £6 for Heineken and Dark Fruits, £5.80 Amstel and normal Strongbow.
