• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Russell Martin is a man who has not veered all season from the belief that he is working with a long term project here at Swansea City and that, despite setbacks like Monday afternoon, everything is working to plan as that project develops. It may be one of the features that endeared Martin to the […]

Yeah...this club is the best place for us until we get a better offer*.

I bet nobody has to look far to see the same things said about MK. Rodgers was the same. And Martinez. Why on earth do they feel a need to come out with this needy crap.

*Or are sacked

I admit I was taken in by the Roberto you'll have to force me out of the club nonsense. I haven't fallen for it since!

I can totally get the Roberto anger, however I fail to see what reason people could have to tar Rodgers under the same brush.

It is commonly accepted wisdom that everyone knew he was going to move on to something bigger and better and he that signed a new contract with the Swans to put them in a better bargaining position for his compensation. And of course he paid us £15m quid for Joe Allen which at the time was astounding business.

Rodgers - Mostly because of what he said and did at Watford, so, yeah, maybe unfair with us, although I seem to recall him teasing us with how happy he was here. He did do the decent thing with the compo for sure, but no doubt a big pay rise was tied into it to protect him if no one came in for him willing to pay the compo. I remember a fair bit of anger at the time, so I'm not sure it was that accepted as going to happen. In fact I remember unbridled crowing that he'd 'turned down' Liverpool.

My point is why come out with this pointless false bullshit. They are all in it for themselves, as I would be. Why pretend.
