Pretty sure I’m not the only one who is sick of his rhetoric but we are where we are.

Joe Allen papered over the cracks of a poor summer transfer window (and if Piroe goes before the end of the month it will look a hell of a lot worse).

We’ve not got a pot to piss in.

If RM goes:-
1. who the hell else is going to want to come here?
2. are they going to be any better with the squad we currently have?

I think realistically with our budget at the moment mid table is pretty much the best we can expect, unless we can find an outstanding manager or be very successful signing lower league players for cheap like we did under Martinez (Scotland, Bodde, Rangel, de Vries, how much did we pay for the lot of them?). I don't think Martin is an outstanding manager, and he seems reluctant or unwilling to change things that aren't working, but if he can keep us up and away from the bottom three that probably represents a decent enough season for the owners.

I don't really buy that we've got better players than a mid table side either. Outside of a couple like Piroe there isn't anyone who I think would really excel at a higher level.

We is pretty crap.

But we'll win tomorrow, 3-1.

Imagine if we did, and then put in a decent run of games.

:o

We'd have to go back to moaning about energy bills and Brexit

Luton made the play offs last season with a lower budget than us & Barnsley the season before.

But Garrick and Whittaker can cut it at League 1.Let's be fair to them they are bettet than Ogbeta and Sorinola and pissibly Lati.

In addition, Piroe and Ogbeta were initially not up to detail and they are pitentially class above the process.

When Brandon turned the game to Get some early points at Bristol he was dropped for not following orders.

It has been a while and we are clearly struggling to get the best having dropped Fulton and Bennett and still paying them a hefty wedge.

We don't need players who would excel at a higher level although that would be nice, we need players who can do a decent job at THIS level and I'd say we've got enough to be the core of a decent side if we had someone at the helm who could get them playing consistently at somewhere near their maximum ability. At the moment, I can't see any player doing that.

Cabango aside, I'm not sure any of our other defenders would be regulars in the second tier. Darling maybe, but he's an unproven quantity.

We've got two strikers who absolutely would, and a couple of midfielders too.

I'm not sure we're half as strong as some people think we are. Our squad is very patchy.
