Sacked in the middle of a European campaign.. Jenkins decided to play football manager and here we are, hanging on for our championship status

I supported the decision at the time, they could do no wrong

How fucking stupid was that

Everybody, or almost everybody, did mate, and the 3-0 win against scumbo cemented it.

Jenkins was seen as a Swansea hero rather than a ten faced piece of shit in those days. Goes to show, never put anyone on a pedestal. It’s something the Russbots could usefully take heed of.

And I’m pretty sure Laudrup has nothing but good things to say about his time here. Shows the measure of the man. If we’d have matches his ambition, we might well have been in a better place than now.

I still can't believe the stupidity of the decision makers at the time. Getting rid of a revered star who had a massive draw for potential players and throw in an untested defence minded player with poor connections. What could possibly go wrong.
I was being told that Laudrup was lazy had lost the trust of certain players and our results had been poor. Our results had been poor but then we had lost 4 or 5 out of 6 and then you look at who we played and it gives some context to the run we had then which saw Laudrup get his cards. The club was in the hands of idiots.

We had a very difficult run of games over Christmas. I was disappointed they got rid, especially when and how. I think the Derby up ahead was the expedient.
