• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

There will be 2,617 Oxford United fans at the Swansea.com Stadium for the last game of the season. They were allocated 1,970 and that allocation sold out. They were then given an extra 647 tickets in the North West corner.

They are also taking 3,200 to Cardiff today too.

Didn't we in the prem give 3k away allocation without giving up the North West corner?

No. We used to allocate 2,100 in the 2 central blocks upper and lower. But now they usually just allocate 1,970 and have some matting either side of the upper tier away sections by the fencing. The only time we allocate the North West and North East is when we have to allocate 15% for the FA Cup. An example of the Prem allocations below…

This will be the 2nd biggest LEAGUE MATCH Away following at the Swansea.com Stadium. If my memory serves me right. Leeds brought down roughly 2,800 in 2007 (19,000 crowd). Then it would be Oxford with 2,617, which would be followed by Wolves in 3rd with 2,400ish. Leeds and Wolves were allocated the whole of the North Stand before the fencing was installed.

What about Southend in their promotion year.. think it was the last game of the season?

Gonna upset our west stand chaps. Gonna be some proper noise in their corner now.

The team deserve another sell out to end the season with maybe something on it

Did Leeds really bring that much?

I remember that game...was that when we went to 10 men and Monk scored?..

The screen shots are not that clear but you can see that they were allocated all of the North Stand (Except for some segregation matting). There were gaps at the front because of the weather and they didn’t sell all their allocation. The crowd was 19,010.

I didn’t realise they were given that much, but from the photos it’s clear they were. Much appreciated!
