It needs an end product and not just aimlessly passing sideways for the sake of it, some signs of triangles going up the pitch as opposed to just sideways passing, there are were also signs particularly in the Cardiff game of players getting forward in more and more numbers.
Swans do occasionally need to hit a long ball to try and get in behind, perhaps the opposition will not be expecting that and think Swansea are just going to keep the ball.

Piroe has done that (long balls) several times in the last two matches with pinpoint diagonal balls for Obafemi.

Tuesday's goal was a perfect example of how passing should work.
About 40 seconds, 10 or more passes before the ball comes back to Piroe to shoot and score
 
It's been blatantly obvious we've needed more purpose in all those passes for months. A blind man could see it. I hope it's not a blip.

exacly, the style of play ( sideways and backwards passing around the 40 yrd mark )in the last two games has been virtually erradicated lets hope it stays that way. Triangles rule ok.
