• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

2 seriously, in protests in Bristol last night..dreadful.

Yep. Not a good end for a protest about new laws curtailing the right to peaceful protest...

Oddly enough, I imagine it's Pritti Patel who will be happiest about the events as she can say this is why the new bill is needed.

Yes. These idiots have played into her hands and made her point for her. Probably anarchists and rent a mob later on joining in did the damage but they seem to hijack every legitimate protest these days.

Your all failing to see this is the start of a police state and loss of freedom of speech. It's how it starts.

Not missing it at all mate. This proposed law is shocking and should be attracting far more of an outcry than it is. This isn't something relatively trivial like 'cancel culture' or PC gone mad, this is the elected government of our country trying to stifle our right to (peacefully) protest.

The violence will be all that the media will talk about now, ignoring the legitimate need for the protest in the first place. It's not much of a stretch to think the violence would have been welcomed and possibly encouraged by the powers that be as it suits their purposes perfectly.

Not good, and somehow I think we are going to have a summer of them, just like in the 80"s.

Just a thought, does anyone think that the people responsible could have been planted by the government to cause violence which will make their bill easier to get through?

A bit far fetched i know but I wouldn't put it past these selfish imbeciles.

It really isn't that far fetched. It's been done plenty of times in history.

If it is, the anarchists and rioters are playing into their hands.
