Right, seen the replay about 6 times now, initially thought it was a red card.

It doesn't actually look like he has made contact with the Burnley player with the stamp, would need a different angle on it. Those who are up on the rules of the game, if he doesn't make contact with the Burnley player, can he still be done for intent?

Yes.

Still think it's a soft red, Burnley players brought that red imo

Having said that, I'd need to see it from the opposite angle to see if there was any contract made.

Felt to me like he never stops moving at the tug back, he looks down at the player and misses because is watching out for the player behind him on the floor.

Its the actual stamp backwards that's done him for me, if its just a step back, then there's no issue, notsure he actually made contact though, I hope he didn't.

Yes.

He's fucked then, pointless appealing it.

His dad is massively proud of his son for shoving two fingers up Russ, early doors.

And quite rightly so.
He left him out for a couple of games, probably a mistake but we don't know what went on behind the scenes.
He's picked him for the last 50 odd league games...

Piroe's performances picked himself.

Despite, not because of Russ.

What proper manager would strip somebody so very talented of the coveted #9 jersey ?

Water under the bridge. Russ fecked up, Piroe proved him wrong big time. In spades. Bit of a karma moment happening right now I suspect, mojo heroically held on, now finally eroded.

It would be the same for throwing a punch and not connecting or aiming a kick and not connecting, violent conduct.

Yep, that's how I saw it

As I said though, batshit crazy league. Anyone can do anyone. Martin needs to pick proper teams, and it could be good. Carry on like today and it could get hairy.

The manager picked him, he performed & the manager has kept on picking him. That's how football works.
Yes it's water under the bridge but for some reason you've been droning on about it for the last 14 months.

What? I don't understand what you're trying to say. He's not earned his place on merit this season so far, other than we've not really got any other options.

he is a talented player, so it's about time he started showing it again.

It's quite simple.

He bust a gut to overachieve last term. To prove a point. Ran himself ragged on empty. He's now understandably struggling to attain those physical and emotional heights.

And ofc the disappointment of being priced out of a move. £20m the price tag, was it I'm unsure ?

We are not a top 6 team (imo)

Today we were away to a legit top 6 team (now league leaders) and got walloped. Move onto the next one.

If that we're true about him struggling to attain last season's physical and emotional heights then teams higher up the pyramid won't touch him with a barge pole.

Top players do it season after season. They don't complain, they act professionally and get the job done.

Not even close. That's not wanting to run us down and I think Russ is doing a half decent job to get this lot to over-achieve. But we're definitely not top 6. Comfortable mid-table probably if we can show the grit we've shown in recent weeks. The issue will be no depth in the squad as the games, injuries and suspensions build up.
