The fanbase can't complain this time, even if we don't get the desired results. Everything looks good on paper, first eleven looking strong with actual real depth to the bench. Hopefully Mr Sheehan can conduct the orchestra.

On paper, this is the best window in a LONG time. Just need to play some football now!

Yes, I agree. I was a bit sceptical of progress from the owners after the first game loss, but still hoping for more by the end of the window. And they have delivered in fairness, and I apologise !

Of course time will tell if the quality will match the quantity, but there is a plan in place. Well done guys.

I said it in the summer transfer thread but there can be no denying that these aren't just new owners with a different coat of paint compared to Kaplan and his company of clowns.

None of the players we signed smack of desperation tick box signings and there seems to be a genuine "2 per position" depth to the side which will hopefully drive up performances. Ronald for example has been great so far at the start of the season but is consistently inconsistent, if the Benson deal goes through (which we are still waiting on) then he will finally have real competition for his place.

I have been hugely impressed by the work done by Montague, Worth and Gorringe this summer. Rebuilding the side without sacrificing our current saleable assets and staying on the right side of the PSR regulations can not have been easy but they have tackled the challenge superbly.

This squad feels like the best we had since our first season down under Potter, arguably even better than that one depending on how Vipotnik and Idah do emulating McBurnie's 20 goal exploits that season.

Lots of caveats with Benson, as in will he be signed, can he stay healthy, will he be anything like the player he was at this level a few years ago. However, if all goes well, what a luxury it will be to start any two from Ronald, Inoussa, Eom, Benson and have the other two to come off the bench against a tired defence.
