I have been looking to change my car and have been offered a great deal on an EV.

Currently don't have a smart meter or Charger.

I am assuming to get the best rates for electricity I would need smart meter to be able to get onto the rates energy suppliers offer for charging off peak. Getting smart meter installed is pretty straight forward.

Has anyone recently had EV charger fitted and if so from where and how much. There are an array of chargers out there ones you can get on Amazon for a few hundred pound and get spark to install or the more expensive ones energy companies offer. What do you have and how do you find it.

The car I have been offered is a BYD Seal Elegance so would need to be compatible with that.
