Shocking incompetence. I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter how many referees are in the pitch, their idiocy and cowardice knows no bounds!

Retrospective punishment is needed in cases like this for the player AND the referees!

Exactly the same as Lansbury on Manning at Luton 4 years ago. That also wasn't a red. Apparently.

I've said it before - some of these refs, they don't know what a foul is, they don't know what a goal kick is, they don't have a clue what's going on in front of them half the time. And then they fail upwards into the PL, like Atwell.

I'm normally supportive of refs and the difficult job they have, but that decision was shocking...red all day long !!

We've had 5 or 6 in a row now who've been utterly pathetic
It's not even the big decisions like that I find the most terrifying. It's stuff like goal kicks, corners and throw ins, they can be a matter of yards away and they will give it the opposite way to what thousands of other people in the stadium can see was blatantly obviously the other way. What sometimes makes it even worse is their assistants are even closer than them and they don't even correct them

We’ll know we’re really scraping the incompetence barrel if Ronald is ever given a free kick.
