3 loanees

Dicky's a good boy, he just loves the beer and a rant. He'll apologise tomorrow.

A performance and score like that would turn anyone to drink.
Hope we don't see a repeat anytime soon

Me and Dicky have clashed many a time.

He's not a happy bunny, let him vent tonight and feel his love tomorrow or later in the week.

Well at least I'm not sitting on the fence.
Some here saying it "just a bad day", others saying it's "been coming".

We are in a false position. 3 of our team are not ours.
It is away performances like yesterday that have blighted us historically.

We aren't attractive enough to be invested in.
We've no core of players like we had this time 10 years ago.
If we go up we will lose 3 players straight away, then probably a few more and possibly the manager.
Be careful what we wish for. Be realistic as well.

Right where's my paracetamol?

We are not in a false position because 3 of our team are not ours. If we are every team outside the big 6 is in a false position because loan players are everywhere, even more so than usual after the last two windows when fewer and fewer permanent signings were made and more and more loans were arranged.

For their last two matches Fulham have started 7 (seven) loan signings. With the financial uncertainty of COVID it has become more and more prevalent to loan players. If we didn’t use loans we’d be tying one hand behind our back.

We’re on a bad run of performances which needs to be addressed quickly. Fortunately, unlike Brentford that has only translated into one bad result. The manager needs to analyse it and find solutions ASAP.

We have had the habit of prevailing while playing poorly. It did cross my mind after Forest that if we went up we might well be one of the worst teams to do so, Must be a contender.

Watching Fulham and Sheffield U last night and I shudder to think what might happen to us in the PL, but I guess we didn’t ship loads against the Mancs. It would be a difficult season to watch, so maybe Dicky’s right. Be careful what we wish for. Both times we’ve been promoted to the top league before, we’ve had vibrant teams, clearly with the X factor. Can’t say that this time.

I still hope we do it, but it is with a slight sense of dread. Not because of loanees though. If they go, we would just have to try and loan in a few better ones.

Been saying this for years. It's in everyone's DNA to strive to be/play the best footie-wise, but careful what you wish for is spot on, because if we go up, we will have to learn fast - again - and take some beatings in the process. Not a nice experience for a fan! I remember the dread watching Aguero coming on in our first PL game (we were there), and when the 4th went in thinking Jesus this is not good. Saying that, as a club you'd like to think we'd be prepared, but the faces are all different (good and bad thing).

It's almost like it'd be nice if promotion were to be "optional"... Can you imagine the melt down amongst us fickle fans if we won the league, and the club went nah you're arrite!

You look at Norwich they came down with 21 pts. They've shipped a couple of players but are the most consistent team in the championship. That points total may well be eclipsed this season. Does not bode too well for teams that go up this year.

Hope the head isn't too bad today Dicky. :D

I do agree (and mentioned a few times during Cooper's reign) that it is concerning sometimes when we look at our squad and we have a big chunk of players on loan. It does seem that we're putting together a strong backbone though. Loads of teams have PL players on loan so we aren't on our own in that regard. The Championship has turned into a bit of a 'Premier League 2' in recent times.

I really don't think we're in a false position, though. We are where we are because of excellent defending and clinical finishing.

To be fair Mon, we thought the same when we were promoted to the PL last time. Plenty of doom and gloom that we wouldn't be able to hack it. I think it's the feeling that any team has when promoted from this division.

The fact is, IF we were promoted, we'd very likely have Guehi back on loan, possibly signing Woodman and Hourihane perminantly and we'd also have a good 2-5 quality players brought in - such is the money in the PL. It could only be a good thing for the club to be promoted.

Gotta be the worst post I ever read on a Swans forum. #fickleAF
