Mrs L and I are heading to Nerja on Sunday, flying in to Málaga late morning 29/3.

Hearing horror stories of the queues to get the biometrics done and passports stamped and also long delays on departure too.

Anyone here have recent experience and have any good tips to share?

Yes- Tenerife last month. Machines are extremely unreliable. Close to an hour wait (and was not that busy). Bring some water and go to the loo before joining the queue.

This thread is towards the bottom of the first page, some recent experiences within. Plan for the worst and anything less is a bonus.

We are going to Seville on Sunday afternoon and are not expecting a smooth transition.

To make matters worse there are also a series of strikes by airport workers; both Malaga and Seville are within the scope of industrial action.

Prescient thread Mr L 👍

Popped over ydy to Malaga in early readiness to watch my beloved Los Boquerones…. The weather is totally bliss right now

Proper jams at both machines, then funnelled unceremoniously into the Border Control mayhem - staff are clearly overstretched and pretty edgy, at best

Patience, cool clothing and a cool head are essential - and that’s on a cool Tuesday
