The future of Welsh football in the next 5-10 years is looking very bleak. We have a handful of players who may find themselves playing regularly in the bottom half of the Premier League, whilst the backbone of our team (Williams, Davies, Allen, Ramsey and Bale) are regressing as you would expect ageing players to do, or are already gone.

It is a real shame that our 'Golden Generation' was wasted on Chris Coleman and Ryan Giggs.

Better mangers may have got more out of the “golden generation” but qualification for two major championship finals in four years for a nation that had only qualified once before in history shouldn’t be dismissed.

A major championship semi final for a nation of three million people shouldn’t be dismissed either. A close neighbour with a population of sixty million hasn’t done better than a semi final in a major championship in over half a century.
