8 Aug 1969, The photo session for the cover of The Beatles Abbey Road album took place on the crossing outside Abbey Road studios. Photographer Iain McMillan, balanced on a step-ladder in the middle of the road took six shots of John, Ringo, Paul, and George walking across the zebra crossing while a policeman held up the traffic. The band then returned to the studio and recorded overdubs on ‘The End’, ‘I Want You (She's So Heavy)’ and ‘Oh! Darling’.

Tin hat time here , but never really got The Beatles , groundbreaking and a new sound for that time .
Seems the Americans loved them though .

Good stuff like Let it Be , then Hey Jude which went on forever at the end with that awful chorus .

McCartney then done the unbeatable Bond theme Live and Let Die , but also alas Frog Chorus and Mull of Kintyere .

Sone random TV teatime quiz show on my workplace tele asked the question , who were originally The Quarrymen .
I shouted at the telebox The Beatles , correct answer , some of my colleagues looked at me as if I had two heads .
