At approximately 18.30 our time, President JF Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas Texas.
Do you remember where you were when you heard the news? Assuming you are old enough .
I was 10, and was sitting at the kitchen table with my family when the news came through.

Not sure if I saw it on the TV news or seen it so many times since.
And yes we had TV in the valley then, though it was in black and white.

Was about but not really into major world news topics , I was eight when Aberfan happened and recall my parents being upset and my father also angry with the coal board , remember that very well .

First serious issue I took onboard was Apollo 11 landing on the moon , 1969 , I stayed up all near eating toast and drinking hot chocolate , my parents did not bother to get up to watch it , they probably knew it was all a hoax made in Hollywood
