Monk to take on a Premier League job as his first job most definitely was.

Monk as a caretaker, fine. Monk being made permanent boss after presiding over a run of something like three wins in 13/14 games was insanity. You could tell then that there were big problems brewing.

I remember when Bielsa had quite publicly been courted for the role that summer.
He even spent like a week solid watching EVERY Swans game that season working out his ins and outs for the squad.
And then we appoint Monk permanently and yeah the rest is history

came in already depressed realizing it'd been that long ago... but the content only made my head sink further. One can only hope good times are just around the corner.
