• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

To get promoted 5/1.. are the bookies seeing something we're not? We don't know if our defenders are any good yet!

That seems extremely generous given where we finished last season.

MK Dons went from 19th in his first season (although he was only appointed in November) to 13th the next season. Seems a stretch that we'll go from 15th to 7th.

Those odds are nowhere near enough to consider even a small flutter.

20/1 on PP, 10th in the pecking order.

A lot more realistic me thinks…..

Norwich
6/1
Watford
7/1
West Brom
9/1
Sheff Utd
10/1
Burnley
12/1
Middlesbrough
12/1
Huddersfield
16/1
Stoke
20/1
Sunderland
20/1
Swansea
20/1
Cardiff
25/1

That's to win the Championship, we're 5/1 to get promoted

We only finished 9 points off 7th last season after all the points we threw away doesn't seem that much of a drama to me that we 5/1 and currently at this moment still have our better players

Statistically all we've done is strengthen the team so far. In the unlikely event we kept all our players, let the deadwood go and signed a right back/left back you'd have to fancy our chances

Had to laugh earlier today when driving home and the radio determined that bookies had updated their odds following the fixtures being released

Was there any surprises in the fixtures then? 😂
