I know it's a generalization about how long managers last at a club (2 years)

Russell Martin is the 9th longest serving manager in our division.

List of all managers from all divisions show that it's through the leagues. No building being done

No matter how you look at it that is an obscene statistic.
I still believe that managers should also be a part of the transfer window when you see some clubs that sack two or three managers over the course of a season praying for that new manager bounce to get them out of trouble.

Best job out there. How many of us in life have been given a 3, 4 or 5 Yr contract and then been sacked inside 6 months only to have the rest of the contract paid up . And on top of that they generally walk in to another job somewhere else. Very lucky people.
 
Although most managers only get two manager positions at the most. Or is that an urban myth?
 
I thought Michael O'Neill was leaving Stoke? Not sure where I got that from though but thought it was because of ill health.
