• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I know it's a generalization about how long managers last at a club (2 years)

Russell Martin is the 9th longest serving manager in our division.

List of all managers from all divisions show that it's through the leagues. No building being done

No matter how you look at it that is an obscene statistic.
I still believe that managers should also be a part of the transfer window when you see some clubs that sack two or three managers over the course of a season praying for that new manager bounce to get them out of trouble.

Best job out there. How many of us in life have been given a 3, 4 or 5 Yr contract and then been sacked inside 6 months only to have the rest of the contract paid up . And on top of that they generally walk in to another job somewhere else. Very lucky people.

Although most managers only get two manager positions at the most. Or is that an urban myth?

I thought Michael O'Neill was leaving Stoke? Not sure where I got that from though but thought it was because of ill health.
