• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Paul Watson has revealed that Southampton weren’t “anywhere close” near the Swans valuation of Nathan Wood as they made a late move for him towards the end of the central defender. The Saints were said to have made two bids for Wood as Russell Martin tried to sign him for the second successive...

Well I think the club's valuation of wood is probably way above what he's worth, he's a really poor player at the moment, British or not. Give me a Rangel over wood any day of the week. Wood also comes across as childish and immature. He definitely rates himself way above his actual talent. He really needs time on the bench.

He’s done nothing yet. Happy to trust the ‘experts’ that say he is something special in the making for the time being, but if his second season mirrors the first I’d say he’s pretty much always likely be crap.

He can definitely play and he has pace. That has not been mirrored in his recent performances however, but he is English and a centre-half for which clubs pay a lot for if they are any good at that age.

He can definitely play! He must be hiding that then cause he ain't really played for the swans since he's been here.

"as they made a late move for him towards the end of the central defender."??

Interesting. You'll have to explain that one to me !

He had some fine games in the second half of last season. There’s talent there but it doesn’t show itself often enough for the apparent hype.

You can count the amount of decent games he's had for us on the fingers of one hand, hopefully this Chelsea lad will be worth the hype and take Woods place...

All about opinions but for me he's bog average with a bad attitude

I'm no big fan but there appears to be at least one team interested in paying us money for him so we'd be silly not to at least trigger the year extension and a longer contract if he's not now got overinflated demands.
