Its crazy how a player over 23 can leave when contract is up but a youngster is barred from playing for anyone else until Millwall receive compo yet they are refusing to negotiate with other clubs effectively preventing him from furthering his career
 
It’s pretty weird with Bosman well established that an out of contract player can’t move without a fee, be it compensation or whatever. It would make sense in situations like these that compensation was done at a flat rate for however many years a player has been at a club. Clubs can cut youngsters lose at any time and youngsters should be able to make their choices at the end of the agreed term, with the developing club being compensated at a fixed rate if they can’t agree future terms.
