• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Wonder how many Chelsea fans would be there if Chelsea weren't in the Prem or if Abramovich never came along

There is of course a flip side to this. Abuse is cowardly. Anonymous abuse even more so. These people should be punished where lines are crossed. But there are also people, online and in “real life” who have had to deal with the fallout from idiots who just can’t deal with people disagreeing with them. Police and employers involved. No consequences of course because obviously no offence was identified. But people are dangerous. Stupid people are especially dangerous.

Someone made an horrific post aimed at me recently and the person that aimed it at me was completely wrong.
I was sent a message by someone else asking how someone copes with that kind of abuse,I laugh things off because I’ve got more important things going on,others would definitely have struggled with it though.

What did the post say?

Potter addressed the question of his future by saying: “If results aren’t good enough, you can’t rely on support forever. The results are not good enough for this club, we’re not happy with them. We want to try and improve it.”

Take note Mr. Martin.

Seeing the photos of how much Potter has aged since his time at Chelsea, not good at all.

He wasn't ready for this job, I suppose you can't turn it down as you don't know when the chance will come again but players of the profile of the Chelsea lot, would look at Potter's CV as a player and laugh him off, he hasn't done enough in management at the moment to warrant the respect of what are basically a bunch of spoilt & rich di*ckheads.

He'll get another job at Premier League level.

Couldn’t coach a team with reasonable centre halves to defend in the air either. Any time the opposition had a corner, free kick or throw in our half of the pitch you always knew that there was good chance of it landing in our net.

We were shocking from set pieces that year weren’t we. Cooper soon sorted that out (or rather the England defensive coach he bought in did). If we could have bred Potter with Cooper, we’d have had a great manager!

Also known as his Sinclair Moment or Bony Moment. You can’t blame people for trying, but sometimes it’s fairly obvious they’re aiming too high.
