Could some more enlightened person than myself explain in simple, clear language why the UK's vital, and undoubtedly lifesaving, Air Ambulance service remains outside the remit of central or devolved government funding as an agreed and essential part of the NHS?
In much the same vein why is the RNLI and Trinity House reliant on the UK publics generosity, when the Coast Guard isn't?
