Iraqi fella in the west stand before the game pulled out an Iraqi flag and started waving it about shouting to Al-Hamadi.
He was immediately pounced on by a load of stewards and made to put it away.
Funny as f*ck

Back in the day, I approached the Chief Steward in the West Stand to inform him that an Everton fan (in his late 20's) was in a drunken state and being abusive to all around him (mostly elderly and family groups).

He told me, in his words, "if you don't go back to your seat I will personally have you ejected"...
Fair enough 👍

Seeing as we are all basically strip searched going in, fair play to him.
Not in the West stand, it's only us neanderthals in the East that are the troublemakers and warrant searching according to club policy.

Always been the same since the day the stadium opened - fans in the East are treated differently to those in the West who are seen by stadium management as a better class of fan

I know, but when you see Oap people near 70 being searched it does make you scratch your head .

I moved to the West from the East this year after about 17 years in the East, i was searched every time i went in the East when i questioned on what grounds i was being searched (ie a middle aged bloke minding his own business) i was told it was a condition of entry, since my move i not even been asked if i have anything on me since moving to West.

I will say as well, to be fair to the stewards who do get some stick, following an op a few months ago i needed fairly quick access to the toilets and I approached a steward explained the situation ( i was not obviously in need of access to disabled toilets, he could not have been more helpful and told me to keep an eye for him and he would unlock doors for me if he saw me coming which he always did)

The old fellas around me pull out flasks of various drinks at half time together with snacks its a different world.

You obviously have the issue of getting stopped by some posters from here moaning but otherwise i am very happy in the West away from the ragamuffins in the East😂 and a shorter walk to Shorts car park.

Hope you're a safe distance from that Prosser fella Pacey. (y)

Where's the petition for us to sign? What's the Trust's view on this?

Yes, I'm an oap people near 70 and I was searched on Saturday by a youngish girl who asked my permission to which I replied "OK, as long as you don't try and steal my Kit-Kat" as that was all I had on me other than my phone. 😁

If we can have Ulster Loyalist flags I don’t see why we can’t have Iraqi ones. He was our player after all. Let’s collect them and be like the United Nations (y):ROFLMAO:

What? You didn't have a broken bottle, flare , knife or a pool ball in a sock on you. I'm sure when the club thought up and implemented this crazy policy they couldn't have imagined for one minute that ruffians like you would be attempting to smuggle a kit kat in. Shame on you lol.

Friend of mine was stopped bringing in a coffee he bought from greggs outside the ground he had small amount left in it.
When asked why he couldn't take it in the steward said a coffee company sponsor the swans and they want you to buy their coffee.
Forgot to add this was West Stand and he is 70
