A new 19-hour weather warning has just been issued for parts of North Wales.

It is getting a bit silly with these alerts, isn't it? šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
It’s partly an arse covering activity.

It is also inevitable that not all local authorities will be on top of gritting, this alert serves as a ā€œI told you soā€.

My mate up in Builth texted me this morning to say that they had a 2" to 3" of snow fall overnight, the Wye at Hereford is just over 4mtrs above summer level and falling at moment, but when the snow at Builth melts it'll rise again, cancelled out trip to Hereford this weekend last night, I'll phone around Thursday afternoon and if it looks promising I may still go up Friday, if not it could be Tenby or Saundersfoot for a couple of nights.

43 years ago tonight we had the worst snowfall for decades,I can remember walking home to Baglan from The Troubadour in Port Talbot in it.
I stayed at my grandparents house, which is one street away from the beach in Sandfields, and the snow drifted up to the underside of their window. I remember my parents having to walk down to collect me, then walking back home again.

It even snowed in London that January. I’d just moved there and it was misery.

šŸ‘šŸ‘ The lady in the Gelato hut next to the pizzeria on the main square?
That’s the place. Quite a nice buzz in the square as there was a little market going on. It was 18°c this afternoon when I got out of the taxi in Bari airport. Minus two in Heathrow five hours later, was fishing my jacket out of the bag and scraping ice off the car.
