• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Hilarious! The way they talk sounds more like 1935 not 1975! Reminds me of the Harry Enfield/Jon Glover characters, Greyson & Miles Cholmondley-Warner

At least I can understand them, which is more than you can say for Jamie Carragher

Will always remember Brian Moore commentating on Flynnies goal, marvelous old skool commentary 👌

When she said she didn't see that Flynn had started the move in his own half, I half expected the bloke to say something along the lines of 'Well that's because you are just a stupid woman isn't it, know your place'.

I could have worked that out with Zeus chart and slide rule.

Fantastic at the time,

As we marvel in that wooden and unconvincing analysis that takes us back to simpler times, it's easy to forget what a bloody excellent goal that is. Flynn's movement and passing that left those Scottish cloggers not knowing what bleeding day of the week it was. The way they fail completely to deal with that passing reminds me of the way our opponents couldn't deal with us in the early days of Martinez in League One!
