Do the guys with the Ulster flag come from Northern Ireland and support the Swans, or are they local Welsh guys who are trying to make a political point by using the flag?

What you reckon?

Brilliant.

I sit at the other end of the East Stand so it’s not always possible to work out exactly what our fans are singing. I’m not sure if I was just imagining it, but when the “flag fight” was going on did our fans sing the Viva Gareth Bale song, you know, the one with the line “f… the Union Jack” in it ?

Yes, but without the viva Gareth Bale bit

I read elsewhere last night that all flags are fine except for the ones that person personally finds offensive. Which was insightful stuff. Ffs.

This is a great tweet and right on the button.

I was going to post much the same but that tweet gives my view.

It's not about the bit of material, but the intent and reason for it. Any flag should be welcome when it shows support for the Swans and nothing else. Do we go to a game for enjoyment and supporting the team?
Showing anything else whether political etc isn't part of the day or in my opinion shouldn't be. It adds nothing to the day but in fact could, as has been seen, affect the enjoyment for many.

You have to question the intent as anything non football will be inflammatory in certain situations.

Me? I just want to go and support the team. Football, nothing else, and other stuff can stay outside the gates

Absolutely Clive and in a side note I can’t get my head around anyone over the age of 14 taking a flag to a game.
Grow up. 🤬

Union Flag Wavers remind me of National Front knuckledraggers, Brexit voting emptyheads and Tory Scum

can someone explain the difference beyween the UJ flag and the Ulster one? Aren't both the same thing i.e. a united kingdom?

Also, i saw that cowardly little pussy hit that guy over the head from behind a run like a girl - proper man you are son.

I'm not on either side of this, i dont really give a fuck but for those grown men fighting (amongst their own fans) over a FUCKING FLAG are seriously deranged. There are some absolute gimps in our fan base and this just highlights them for all to see

Got a feeling that this is just the start of something which is going to turn pretty nasty, pretty quickly.

Coventry City v Swansea City
