Some people have suggested here that this sectarian problem will now get worse amongst Swans fans. But why would it ? The horrible sectarian hatred in Northern Ireland and Glasgow is based solely on religious differences (thanks religion!)
Thankfully, we don’t have that issue here in Wales. Allegiance to Wales (and to the Swans for that matter) isn’t based on what religion you are. People from any religion, race or background can identify as Welsh (and/or with the Swans), so there’s no real basis for that sectarianism to develop.
Any person who tries to promote some sort of sectarianism amongst Swans fans (as happened last week with those UJ and Ulster flags) is pretty sick in the head.
