• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Why did the full back pass forwards? He could have knocked that back to the keeper. Bloody amateurs

If he'd have got his teams to play that kind of football 15 odd years ago, you never know, maybe he wouldn't have been airbrushed out of Jack to a King!

We played loads of great football that year we made the play off final. Very exciting team that was the backbone of what came later. The following season was a year too far after that crushing disappointment of outplaying but not beating those South Yorkshire puddings. He gets undeserved flack.

Agree again Monny. That season included the 7-1 win over Brizzle, the 2-0 win over Yeovil, the 2-2 with Southend, the JPT final win, all memorable games.

Jackett is tarred by the poor season after losing the playoff final, signings that didn't work out for different reasons (Amankwaah, Way, Fallon) and being overshadowed by the brilliance that the next manager delivered.

Kevin Amankwaah, I've only recently managed to wipe him from my memory and you have ruined my day.
