I have train tickets for this week, Swansea to Gatwick Airport return, leaving yesterday and home on Friday. I thought long and hard about chucking them in the bin (advanced fare so no refund possible) and taking the car instead, but didn’t fancy the Friday drive home. Yesterday didn’t go to plan despite it being two days before first strike, and I don’t think Friday will either.
